Rest is Necessary

It’s been a while since I’ve written here and it’s because I’ve been occupied with other things. Also, after making a vulnerable post like the last one, I felt like crawling into a hole somewhere to hide.

I’m not hiding.

I’m here.

I spent my time crocheting and knitting, reading A Court of Thorns and Roses by Maas, eating delicious homemade foods, and staying physically active. We had a big snowstorm here, so I was happily occupied with shoveling snow. I don’t know why I enjoy doing that so much, but I do.

I’m sitting in bed, long past the time I should be up. Lately I have been sleeping in more than usual, but I think my body needs it, so I’m going with it.

The Wolf Moon pulls me to activity and rest is part of that as well…something I think we forget in this world of “I’ll rest when I’m dead” mentality. I don’t want to wait to rest. I don’t buy into that bullshit. I’m no man’s machine.

I am a woman.

I roar.

I rest.

I return.

This is the cycle of Nature.

xx
