Dream Big

It is early morning. My dog, Milo, is curled up on my lap as I type. I have been up for an hour, working on a sequence for a new Sunday evening class I am starting in April and I’m scheduling in restorative classes that I started leading this month, and have been asked to continue on a monthly basis at a couple of beautiful studios in Northern Kentucky.

It’s wild, how God/Universe takes care of us. I thought I’d be teaching in Lexington. I really did, but God has other plans for me. We have finally decided to sell our house and move back to Greater Cincinnati. As luck would have it, I have been offered a place at a studio in the area and have found a studio that teaches 26+2 and even the e84 classes, so I will not only be able to continue to learn this style, I’ll be able to grow in it as well.

We will keep Pike Street Tattoo open here in Cynthiana and tattoo here two days a week. We have an amazing crew and the shop is doing too well not to keep it open. I truly believe it will be the best of both worlds and we feel excited about the move and all that the future holds for us. Getting back to Cincinnati makes our child happy as well. Moving to a small town has been a culture shock for them, to say the least and as a teen, the city provides more opportunities for entertainment and for future growth for them as well.

This month is a big travel month for us. I am co-leading a retreat in Sedona, Arizona. I am beyond excited about this! I have always wanted to go to Sedona and I planned to lead a women’s retreat this year, but hadn’t worked it out as a solo venture yet. When I was presented with this opportunity, I happily and gratefully accepted! I’ll be helping the lovely and kind, Kristen Liz of Graceful Serenity Yoga. She leads lots of fun outdoor events like floating sound baths, yoga and kayaking, and other things like that. Check her out on Facebook, when you get a chance. I’m honored to be joining her for the retreat and grateful to call her a friend.

We have tattoo-related travel plans as well. Our friends, Rich T and Bobbie of Temple Tattoo, are celebrating their shop’s 30th anniversary with a huge shindig. It’s going to be a big week-long tattoo family party! I’m. Not sure how many days we’ll get to stay with the house going on the market, but we are looking forward to celebrating with them as long as we are able. So many friends and awesome tattooers and musicians will be there! It’s going to be a blast.

I don’t have much else to say except this:

1. Dream big. Write it down, or create a vision board and keep it to yourself.

2. Let go of expectations. Don’t dwell on the dreams you wrote down or put on your vision board. How it happens is none of your business and God care have bigger plans than you can envision at the moment. Expectations will only slow down the process.

3. Trust. Trust that everything will work out for the best for you. Trust the process, the Universe….just trust.

4. Make time for play. Adults rarely play. Adults laugh less than children. Make time to play and have fun. forget how to play? Practice. Go do somethign for the first time. Allow yourself to explore, then you’ll find what lights you up.

5. Take chances. I know it can be scary to put yourself out there, but do it anyway.

Namaste,

Resa
